On 10 April, we hosted the first edition of our Private Equity Operations Dinner — on top of REM-eiland in Amsterdam.
What started as a new initiative last year has turned into a recurring moment for genuine connection, good conversations, and long-term community building.
We welcomed operating partners and directors from some of the leading Private Equity firms in the Benelux, including Mentha, Egeria, NPM Capital, Quadrum Capital, and Vortex Capital Partners.
As the sun set over the IJ, the group gathered around the table. No stage, no panels — just an open setting to talk shop. From value creation playbooks to scaling operations, everything was on the table.
True to the Sweav spirit, this wasn’t about the next deal. It was about stepping out of the transaction mindset — and reconnecting over shared ideas and experiences.
A Word from Rob Wiggelinkhuizen, Co-Founder at Sweav: “This year’s edition really underlined what makes these dinners unique. It’s an intimate setting. Everyone’s facing the same challenges. And instead of formalities or slide decks, we keep it real. From hands-on scaling stories to tough conversations about team dynamics — it all comes out. That’s what makes it valuable.”
This dinner is part of a bigger movement. One that brings together senior professionals in Dutch private equity — not for pitches or presentations, but for honest peer-to-peer conversations.
As Sweav keeps growing as the go-to community for independent strategy and M&A professionals, we also want to build stronger networks for our clients in the private equity space.
Thanks to everyone who joined us on REM-eiland. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
